My Values

I value children and families – put the two together and you have the wonderful choice of Family Day Care! The world is a child’s stage and we are their audience and what a fun production it is!

I believe children can teach me more than any adult could ever possibly try! They teach me how to be honest, how to have fun, how to listen and understand what they are trying to express.

I value what I can invest in children as found in the words of an old Chinese proverb: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day – teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”.

A day in my care

Children are cuddled, loved, cherished and honoured – they are listened to and heard and they have choices to make by themselves (within reason) so that they learn to be responsible for their own actions.

There are lots of activities like painting and play dough, puzzles and picture books but there are also creative imaginations and lots of processes rather than products! There are outings to the park, to playgroup and visits to other carers and their “families”. Patience, praise and kindness can always be found in our home.
