My Values

I believe that by providing a safe, caring, happy, fun environment where children feel loved and secure they are able to grow into happy, confident individuals.

I have worked in the Child Care Industry in England for 10 years in Pre-schools, as a Private Nanny and as a Teacher's Aide in a Primary School.   Since arriving in Australia I have gained my Certificate III in Children’s Services, and worked in a Day Care Centre with both Babies and Children from 6 weeks to 12 years -- which I really loved.

I have chosen to work in Family Day care as I feel that it delivers a more personal service, in which each child can develop at his or her own pace, in more relaxed surroundings in a homely environment.
 

A day in my care

A typical day provides lots of fun, laughter and learning experiences that caters to your child’s individual needs.

Some of the activities available are: home corner, cars and trains, puzzles, blocks, farm and zoo, musical instruments, painting, arts and crafts, messy play, sand and water play, singing and story time, outdoor play, bikes and scooters, ball games, tent, hula hoops, bowling and maybe a walk in the park, a trip to Redlands Playgroup or the Library ... and more!

Each morning will start with indoor play in our large playroom until all of our friends arrive, then both indoor and outdoor play (under shaded area) is available.

We come together and sit down for morning tea (children wash their hands before every meal). All meals are eaten together at the table, to make it a social experience so that everyone can have a chance to talk to their friends.

After morning tea, we have singing and story time before messy play, art and crafts, indoor and outdoor play or a trip out to Playgroup, or walks and other activities.

Then Lunch time arrives, with a few relaxing stories before rest and nap, to recharge energy for more fun in the afternoon.

After our rest, we enjoy afternoon tea, and then more free play until 'home time.'
