My Values

I moved to Family Day Care from centre-based childcare to offer more individual time and attention to children in my care.

I teach children based on their interests and abilities. I offer children a range of learning activities including early literacy, numeracy, and creative art forms.

Children’s safety is of high importance to me. I am always attentive and careful when children are in my care.

I take the time to support children at meal times, and to help them learn living skills such as dressing, and hygiene practices.

The small number of children in family day care allows each child to learn from other children, as well as to enjoy their own interests at a relaxed pace. My aim is for children to be happy while learning and exploring.

As a childcare worker in family day care I am aware that my behaviour reflects my professional role both as a partner for parents in their child rearing, and as a model for social behaviour with children.

A day in my care

C
hildren in my care enjoy a broad range of craft experiences. I provide plenty of time for reading stories, visiting the Library, and enjoying the Playground.

I think it is important to maintain children’s routines between home and childcare - so I work with you to establish what your child’s routine is at home, and then I assure that your child is comfortable with familiar events in the day.

I assist children in maintaining a healthy lifestyle of eating, sleeping and safe physical activity.
