POLICY

Children who are cared for within the Bayside Family Day Care Scheme should be supervised at all times.

PROCEDURE

The Care Provider must be constantly aware of the activities and whereabouts of children in their care.

The Care Provider allows children to move freely and explore whilst being available to provide guidance, care and assistance to a child when required.

The Care Provider must be in close proximity to children at all times. Such proximity would allow the Care Provider to see and/or hear the activities of the children in care and return eye contact to a child within a few seconds.
