POLICY
The Management Committee
will investigate and take subsequent action for allegations about any staff
member, care provider or parent falsifying timesheets, forging signatures or
giving false or misleading information of any nature to the Scheme.
PROCEDURES
The Management Committee may terminate a staff members contract of employment if they are satisfied that
the staff member has given false or misleading information or has committed a
fraudulent activity against the Scheme.
The Management Committee may suspend and/or cancel a
Certificate of Approval if they are satisfied that a Care Provider has failed
to comply with the Scheme’s accountability requirements with any fraudulent
activity such as falsifying timesheets,
forging signatures or giving false or misleading information to the Scheme.
The Management Committee may terminate a family’s
child care placement with the Scheme if they are satisfied that a parent has
given false or misleading information to the Scheme or if the parent commits a
fraudulent activity against the Scheme.
Due to the serious nature of providing false or misleading information on timesheets or forging signatures on timesheets or attendance record sheets, the Management Committee must notify the relevant departments of the Commonwealth and State government and the Criminal Investigation Bureau of this fraudulent activity.
