My Values

I have been involved in the childcare industry for more than 30 years. Most of my career has been centre based care, and I also have had many years of being a nanny. I have chosen to-do Family Day Care as it allows for more individuality and a home based environment gives me the opportunity to offer a more flexible and personal routine, enabling me to provide a warm, loving, nurturing place to care for your child.

Through observations and records that I keep, we base a program on your children’s individual needs and interests.

Play is children’s 'work' and as a care provider I can provide experiences that will enable your child to reach their full potential.'

I will endeavor to be of great support to you, by helping to create an environment that is going to be safe and comfortable for both you and your children.

A day in my care

Includes lots of fun activities, based around your individual child’s needs and interests.

We will also attend playgroup which is very important for all children as it provides opportunities to socialize with a larger group and experience a wide variety of different activities.

I will try to stick to a routine but am very flexible with that routine as I know all families’ values and cultures are very different and I am open to help your child with their routines. Our day will be full of fun and games and we will have a flexible routine like this:

Drop off: Welcoming children as they arrive. We do indoor activities like play dough, books, puzzles, etc.

Morning tea: Wash hands, toileting, nappy changing, sit down for a social morning tea together, with lots of discussion.

Morning Art Activities: Painting ,collage, or finger painting, then on to outdoor play with hats and sunscreen on, to explore the environment and use their gross motor skills.

Lunch: Washing hands, toileting and, nappy changing, then sit down for a social lunch together with lots of opportunities for some stories and discussions. Then it’s rest time, to rejuvenate our minds and bodies.

Afternoon Tea: Washing hands, toileting, nappy changes sit down together for tea then on to activities both indoor and outdoor like, chalk drawing, balls, home corner, bikes etc.

Home time: Help pack up the toys, wash hands and get ready for mum and dad to arrive.
