My Values |
|
I am a Mum with 3 children; Donna and David attend a local school and Nichola is the newest edition to our family. Working in Family Day Care is a way I can offer other families the benefits of raising children in a loving, family, home based environment. Seeing children having fun whist learning in play based care is very rewarding. I enjoy the challenge of working with children of a variety of ages, supporting and being a part of their growth and development. |

A day in my care |
|
In our home we anticipate laughter and fun will be a part of every day. The daily routine will be varied and designed to accommodate the ages and individual abilities of the children in care. Our undercover play area is large enough to accommodate a range of activities/experiences at one time including: home corner; bike/trike riding; play dough; and craft activities. Lunch time is a time where all the children interact and communicate with each other and myself. Sharing of experiences and stories from the children whist eating is relaxed and open. This helps to encourage the learning of social skills needed like turn taking, listening, and speech and language development. After lunch we have sleep or rest/quiet time depending on the individual needs of the children in care.
The
remaining afternoon we share our favourite books and music time. If
your child has any favourite books or songs please feel free to
bring them along and we will all love to share and learn. |
