My Values

Family is very important to me. I have a son named Bailey, who is 14 months old. I have worked in child care for 11 years, and hold a Diploma in Children’s Services.

During this period, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with children of all ages.

As a full time family day care provider, I provide an extension of your home in mine. As a first- time mother of one, I understand the complexity of deciding what is best for your child. For most of the past six months, I have been deliberating over what is best for my child. What are the best choices I can make for his well-being, and which decisions will ultimately be best for our family?

I understand that these questions face all mothers as we decide who will care for our precious children. I too have had many sleepless nights wondering if I was making the right choice.

I feel confident that I have made the right choice by becoming a family day care provider, because I have so much love to offer children of all ages.

My home is a safe and nurturing place for your child to learn, play, and develop.

I would love the opportunity to chat with you and your family about the choices you are facing, and the benefits of family day care.

A day in my care

My home is a smoke-free, modern four bedroom home in the family-oriented suburb of Thornlands. We are close to many parks, walking tracks and nature trails.

In my care, I provide many real world opportunities for play and learning in a fun and safe environment. Using the knowledge I have gained through study and substantial childcare experience, I delight in facilitating your child through every stage of development.

Instead of ’pigeon-holing’ children into strict routines and structured learning times, I provide a child-centred environment in which each child can lead and direct his or her own play in the direction their own imagination and emergent interest takes them.

I provide opportunities for child’s play, and I help guide their learning as their interest grows.

We provide musical instruments, manipulative experiences such as play dough, clay etc., opportunities for wet and messy play and dramatic play.

I provide learning opportunities and projects for children who are showing interest in language, literacy and numeracy concepts.

I provide my child care services under the guidelines of the Australian Early Years Learning Framework, which is the new National Curriculum for the early years.
