My Values

I aim to achieve a happy, safe and nurturing ‘home away from home’ where children can feel valued, treasured and enjoy their day. They will be able to grow and learn with plenty of interesting activities and resources suitable for their age.

I greatly enjoy being at home and spending time with children, so it was an obvious choice for me to progress into Family Daycare and care for my own three children (two of whom are at school), and at the same time to help other families in the area to juggle their commitments.

I have a great deal of patience and understanding, and will happily accommodate any interests that your child may have with plenty of praise and encouragement along the way.

A day in my care

During the children’s arrival time the activities will include music, toys, jigsaws, books and colouring-in before we leave for the school run.

Once we return we will begin our morning activities with story time and then spend time both inside and out, enjoying different gross-motor activities with the sandpit, trampoline, swing, dancing and music to name but a few! After morning tea according to the the ages of children in my care, we will do some craft which may be lead by any interests they have.

I go to playgroup and also to a small park at least once a week which the children and I greatly enjoy.

After lunch and then rest-time, we enjoy playing in the garden (with water play under the sprinkler in the hotter months), dress-up, the cubby house and role play.  We then move inside to tidy up and get ready for home-time.
