I believe that children should be provided with a
safe, loving environment. Both children and their families should be
made to feel welcome and safe. This is why in my family day care
home I provide a loving and safe environment were your child can
grow and develop their social skills with forming friendships. I
believe all children are unique individuals who should be treated
equally regardless of their gender, cultural, religious backgrounds
and differering abilities. I will offer each child an individual
program that will cater to the strengths and interests, which will
broaden their experiences and life skills and enable them to develop
in all the main areas of growth and wellbeing, while providing a
safe and stimulating environment .

I
provide a program for all children in care which includes indoor and
outdoor play. Our outdoor activities include: seesaws, sandpit,
water play, tunnels, soccer, basketball, activity gyms to name a
few. Indoors activities are age appropriate and encourage
learning and social interactions. This includes cooking, books and
stories, home corner painting play dough, dress up’s, cars and
trucks, puzzles, drawing and craft, music and movement.
Morning
tea, lunch, afternoon tea and rest times are provided at appropriate
times and all activities will be programmed around these. I believe
a routine is very important for the children’s sense of security;
but I do have a flexible routine to cater for each child’s
individual needs and requirements and happy to work with you to
provide this routine.
I also have
an open communication policy and will provide a daily book to all
families to let you know, what your child is doing and learning for
the day. On occasions we will go on special excursions and we will
visit the local park and playgroup provided by the scheme to connect
the children into our local community and to network their social
skills with a larger group of children. |
