My Values
I have chosen to become a Family Day Care Provider because in the past I have worked closely with children and young people in the role of Youth Worker, and I have missed the interaction with children, and this family day care role returns me to that valuable service.
I am rewarded by the way children perceive the world around them and value this perspective. I have a little boy and therefore our home is child safe and friendly. Our days are filled with fun and exploration, allowing for learning and further development of skills.
A day in my Care
A day in my care includes a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, utilizing the large back yard with water play and sand pit fun, riding trikes, looking for mini beasts or exploring the vegetable patch.Other shaded outdoor activities could include play dough, painting and collage.
While indoors, we use building blocks, playing with cars and trains, dress ups and home corner.
We need to visit the local library at least once a fortnight to keep up with our love of books! And we visit Playgroup once each week to encourage social skills and learning experiences with other children.
