My Values

Hi my name is Robyn and I am a mother of 5 year-old old twin boys,  I have always wanted to work with children but I never took the chance, work took off in a different direction. Now years later, I finally have the chance to do what I have always dreamed of. I was working in childcare and loving it, now as my boys have reached school age, I need to fit my working hours around them, which is where I welcome family day care. Not only do I get to be there for my boys, I also have the chance to open my home to be there for other children and their families.

My passion for all children comes straight from the heart. I believe that all children deserve respect, honesty, a warm, safe, friendly environment, a place in which they have a chance to express their needs and wants. I have an ear for listening , eye’s for seeing what each child ’s individual needs are, emotionally, socially, physically and developmentally, open arms for lots of cuddles, a place where we all respect each others similarities, differences and cultural beliefs and most importantly a place the whole family feels valued and welcome. I would love to offer this to all children in my care while their families are hard at work or having a well deserved rest.

A day in my care

A child’s mind is bigger than we can imagine, it is ready for learning, it is ready for fun, it is ready nurturing, it is ready for love, and all they need is a guiding hand along the way. A day in my care would involve a whole range of fun activities including:

·         Water play,

·         Sand, jumping,

·         Music, dancing, singing,

·         Story telling,

·         Climbing,

·         Dramatic play,

·         Ball play, arts and crafts,

·         Play dough, blocks, puzzles,

·         Cooking,

·         Nature walks and so much more.

There will also be adventures at the park which is located next to my home and social gatherings at play group. No two days will be the same and every day will be exciting! All activities, sleep/rest times, morning/afternoon teas, lunch times and social outings are based on age and individual needs. Though there are routines in place to help guide the children through the day, my days are flexible ensuring that all children’s needs are met.

If your child has any special  toys, books, pillows or blankets etc that they would like to bring from home, please feel free to do so as this will help your child settle in  as will knowing their home life routines.

My days  are full of adventure and imaginary play, I love getting down to a child’s level and truly enjoying the day with them, while also giving them self confidence along the way.
