A day in my care |

After morning tea we will have a short Group Time where we sit together and listen to a story and/or sing our favourite songs. Between 10-11.30 we have set activities which have been programmed to promote developmental growth whether it is Physical, Emotional, Social, Language or Cognitive. After our activity time the children will be encouraged to help tidy up which promotes self help and listening skills. After our nutritional lunch we will have rest time where the children will be taken to the sleep room for quiet time and or a nap. After nap time we have free play with an assortment of activities before afternoon tea and then outside play again. Some of the activities available throughout the day are Home Corner including dolls, cot and pram, dress ups, reading corner, toy shelf with an assortment of toys, puzzles and blocks. A TV and DVD area have been set up for use during the day. An art activity will be offered each day which includes, crayon, felt or pencil drawing, painting using an assortment of tools, cooking activities, collage and play dough. Incorporated into our routine are outings to the park, library, playgroup and visits to other carers' homes, allowing the children to experience a larger group play which helps their social and emotional development. Depending on the age of your child/ren, we may also have drop off and pick up for school.
