My Values

I enjoy working with families and believe the key to a successful partnership is clear and open communication. I offer a safe, warm and nurturing home.

I believe that children are unique and develop at their own levels, therefore I plan a program based on the children’s level of ability and interests.

My home is kept safe for children and is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition. The lawn and grounds are regularly maintained and kept tidy. I have a covered outdoor area to prevent skin damage to the children.

In order to prevent injury to children cupboards have childproof devices fitted, power points are covered, all hot water taps have been fitted with safety cups over them, the yard is fully fenced and the gate is locked. In addition, children will be supervised at all times.

Finally, an emergency evacuation plan is displayed and evacuation procedures are practiced on a regular basis.

A day in my Care

Play is a valuable experience; children learn in all areas of development through play. I have younger children in my care so I am very flexible as I cater for the children’s needs and interests first.

Inside Experiences
Construction toys, musical toys, blocks, puzzles, books role playing and dress ups to help settle on arrival.

Outside Activities
Play dough, painting or collage, cars and trucks, climbing on the fort, ball games, chalk drawing, swings, water play and imaginative play in the cubby house with kitchen.

Story and Language Development
Stories cater to the children’s interests and develop their cognitive and language skills.

The activities I provide assist in the development and overall education of each precious child.

I want each child’s memories of family day care to be happy, joyful and positive to assist them on their path of life.
