My Values

As a care provider, I endeavour to make children feel at home in our house. Here they have a safe, fun environment where they can learn and develop their motor skills in a warm family environment.

I believe children require a nurturing and loving environment in order to grow into happy, confident individuals and I particularly love being a part of that process.

In Mexico, la familia (the family) is the heart of Mexican society and in my home I hope to instil the value of group spirit that will contribute to a sense of harmony.

A day in my care

A day in my care involves lots of fun activities appropriate to your child’s age and interests.

Some of the more popular activities involve painting, drawing, and musical instruments.

Each day the children are welcomed on arrival and invited to take part in various indoor activities including story time. After morning tea it’s time for music & movement with musical instruments and singing or group activities that typically involve play dough, threading, beading, and hammering to name a few.

The children are encouraged to share personal stories over lunch before they turn in for an afternoon nap or spend rest time with their favourite books and puzzles.

In the afternoon the children have some free time and are allowed to choose their own activities before they ready themselves for home time.

We also participate in a combined playgroup on Mondays and/or Wednesdays where the children have an opportunity to socialise with children from other family day care groups.
